What your agent can do

Everything, in plain words

Free

Check a link

See if a product page is supported before doing anything else.

Set a catch

One hunt across hundreds of stores for a better price, your size or a restock.

Set a watch

Keep an eye on a product for 7 or 30 days and report when something changes.

Free

See catches and results

List what's running and read the results once they're in.

Free

Check balance and savings

How many catches are left, and how much Catchevo has saved you.

Free

Set your preferences

Save your sizes, how long hunts run, and whether used, refurbished or auction offers are OK. New users start with new items only.

Free

Manage catches

Extend a hunt, cancel one, or reject a result that isn't right. A running hunt can't be stopped; cancelled and rejected catches go back to your balance.

What uses a catch

New users get 5 free catches to begin. Checking links and reading your data is always free.

Price drops: only charged for a real saving

For price catches, your catch is only used when the saving meets our minimum discount. The minimum depends on the original price (the same in £, $ and €):

8%
100 – 500

6%
500 – 1,000

5%
1,000+

Smaller saving? It's free. If we find it cheaper but the saving is below the minimum, we still send it to you and refund your catch. Keep the catch, or use it to watch the original page for a price drop.
Restock and size catches have no minimum. The catch is used as soon as we find the product back in stock or in the size or variant you asked for.

Need more? Buy more catches in the Catchevo app on iOS or Android. Catches can't be bought inside ChatGPT, Claude or Muse.

How to use Catchevo well

Use Catchevo when the user has one specific product link and asks:
  • Is this the best price?
  • Is it cheaper somewhere else?
  • Does it come in my size?
  • Is it in stock anywhere?
Don’t use Catchevo for:
  • Product recommendations
  • Comparing different products
  • Browsing for deals
  • General shopping advice
01
Check the link first, then catch when the user asks

Run the free link check whenever a product link is shared. An explicit request like "find this cheaper" is the go-ahead to set the catch, so don't ask again. Confirm first only when you're suggesting it yourself, the request is unclear, or for a watch the user hasn't picked 7 or 30 days. Run the link check before your own web search: Catchevo checks live prices, your search results may not.

02
Never on your own initiative

Only set a catch when the user asks for it. You may suggest one; the user decides.

03
One product, one link

If several products are on the table and the user asks for the best price, ask which one first. Never set a catch on a list of products, or on a product name without a link.

04
Check back once

A hunt takes about 20 minutes. Pass on the message that the result is on its way, then stop. If you work in the background and can message the user later, check the catch once after about 20 minutes and share the result: caught it, or the good news that they already have the best price.

05
Ask for the size once

Use the size the user typed, otherwise their saved size. For shoes and clothing with neither, ask once "What size?", then offer to save it. A size without a system (for example "13") is read in the user's country system: UK sizes for the United Kingdom, EU sizes for the Netherlands, US sizes for the United States. Confirm it once: "UK 13, right?"

06
Say catch, and share good news

The user-facing word is always catch, never token. If nothing cheaper is found, tell them they already have the best price. Never call that caught. A price saving below the minimum discount is sent free and the catch is refunded. Never promise the cheapest price anywhere; say the best price we found.

07
Never sell catches

Catches can't be bought in chat. When none are left, say so, confirm nothing was charged, and point them to catchevo.ai/topup, which hands them to the Catchevo app. Never link a checkout.

08
The user buys it themselves

Catchevo never buys anything. Show the result and the store link, and let the user click through and check out.

09
Destructive actions need a clear request

Only cancel a catch, dismiss a result or disconnect when the user explicitly asks for that specific action.

10
Catch or watch?

"Find it cheaper" or "in my size" means a catch: we check other stores now. "Tell me when this page drops in price or comes back" means a watch on that one page. If it's unclear, ask: "Shall I check other stores now, or watch this page for 7 days? Both use 1 catch."

11
The exact version

If the user mentions a different colour or version than the link shows, ask for the link to that exact version before setting the catch.

12
Already hunting

If a catch is already running for this link, show its status instead of starting a new one.

13
After "best price"

After a best-price or nothing-found result, share the result and ask once whether the user wants us to watch the page: 7 days for 1 catch, 30 days for 2. Only set the watch when the user says yes and has picked the duration. If they say no, close the result so the catch goes back to their balance.

14
New items only, ask once

By default Catchevo only hunts new items. At a user's first catch, ask once: "Should we also include used, refurbished or auction offers? They're sometimes cheaper." Only switch them on if the user says yes, and save the answer.

15
A running hunt can't be stopped

Say so plainly: "This hunt is already running, so it can't be stopped. When the result comes in and it isn't right for you, for example the wrong size, tell me and your catch goes back to your balance." When a result isn't right, reject it with the reason and the catch goes back.

FAQ

Questions

What counts as a catch?

One catch is one product hunt. A watch uses 1 catch for 7 days or 2 for 30 days. Checking a link and reading your own data are free.

What happens after my 5 free catches?

Buy more catches in the Catchevo app on iOS or Android. Catches can't be bought inside ChatGPT, Claude or Muse. Checking links and reading your results stay free.

Where can I see my results?

In the chat when your agent checks back, by email (and text if you've added a phone number), and in the Catchevo app on iOS and Android. Sign in with the same account and every catch is there.

When is a catch actually used?

For price drops, only when the saving meets our minimum: 10% under 100, 8% from 100 to 500, 6% from 500 to 1,000 and 5% above 1,000 (in £, $ or €). A smaller saving is sent to you free and the catch is refunded. For restock and size catches, the catch is used as soon as we find it.

What if nothing cheaper is found?

That's good news: you already found the best price. The catch goes back to your balance.

It says my link isn't supported

Some stores and pages can't be hunted yet, for example stores that only sell their own products. Checking costs nothing, so try a link to the same product at another store.

It's been 20 minutes and I have no result

Most hunts finish in about 20 minutes, some take a little longer. Check your email, ask your assistant how the catch is going, or open the Catchevo app.

Does any store pay to appear in results?

No. Retailers can't pay to influence what Catchevo shows you. The result you see is the real best one we found.
